SOUTHAMPTON vs CHELSEA (1230 ko) The first of two such fixtures in 10 days, and by far the more important from a south coast perspective, sees the Saints in a desperate quest for points. There can be few better opportunities to boost their survival hopes against the reigning champions than now. The Blues are in turmoil and seems to have little left to play for in the league bar finishing above Arsenal. The Saints will go all out for maximum points today and even a point would give their fans much needed hope. Draw.
BURNLEY vs LEICESTER CITY A bit of a dead rubber, this, and probably not one for the purists. Burnley have earned every plaudit they’ve got for their work this season and Sean Dyche will doubtless take pleasure from positioning the burners ever closer to former boss Arsene Wenger’s backside. Home win.
CRYSTAL PALACE vs BRIGHTON & HOVE ALBION Arguably the game of the day. Brighton are in 13th spot with 35 points, which may well be enough to see them safe. But they have a nightmare run-in and today could well be their last chance to bank a point that would surely be enough to stay up. Palace have the kindest run-in of all relegation-threatened teams, but they still have to get the points that would give them another season in the top flight. All of which adds spice to this rather strange rivalry. Draw.
HUDDERSFIELD TOWN vs WATFORD Like Brighton, few people will give Huddersfield much hope of getting even a point from their last three games, which leaves today and their next game at home to Everton as their final opportunities to save themselves from the drop. They’ve done incredibly well to get themselves into the position they’re currently in and have spent (virtually?) the whole season above the drop zone. Many neutrals would consider it unfortunate if they faltered at the final hurdle. Watford are effectively, if not mathematically, safe and appear to have little to play for. Home win.
SWANSEA CITY vs EVERTON They looked dead and buried this time last season, so this is the second consecutive time Swansea have performed a miracle to pull away from the bottom three. Everton will be no walk over although their aspirations for the season seem to have been met. Defeat today would put the Swans right back among the pigeons, assuming acceptability of the avian metaphor. Expect a dogged display and a narrow home win.
LIVERPOOL vs BOURNEMOUTH (1730 ko) A fourth straight season in the Premier League beckons for the Cherries – a phenomenal achievement for a club of its size. Liverpool haven’t always been at their flowing best after a midweek European game and with half an eye on Roma Bournemouth would be forgiven for playing for a point or more today. This should be an open game, with goals. Home win.
TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR vs MANCHESTER CITY (1945 ko) This City side will go down as one of the great teams of the Premier League era. Their last couple of weeks, though, show that they’re far from invincible, as Spurs will hope to further demonstrate today. This should be a corker of a game that both teams will go flat out to win. Your evening entertainment is sorted. Away win.

Let's be honest, it's looking like the bottom 3 are fucked. Must be a long time since 3 fairly established top flight clubs have gone in the same season. And these days no-one can say 'they will go straight back down' upon a mickey mouse club getting promoted to the PL. Good to see.

Palace winning puts them on 34 points with us and exactly the same goal difference, we may have 2 games in hand but will need at least a point from them to make the difference, and they are Man U and Man City!!!
Huddersfield won as well, so go above us; Southampton losing and Swansea only getting a point were good though.
Beat Stoke though and it’s all academic, and we will be, all but safe IMO, lose and we are right back in this mess, especially given our next 3 games! A draw is ok as still laves Stoke and Southampton 7 points behind us.

Lloris and Ben Davies would have been sent off if they were playing for West Ham. Why do the fourbys get all these duff reffing decisions in their favour? As for Lloris the foul he did reminded me on the assault on Lanzini for which the cunt ref gave a goal kick.

So if it was the last game of the season and we needed Chelsea to beat Southampton for us to stay up you would still be in Mark Hughes corner ?
Yeah right.
